Having studied art with her father as a child, Kristin Gustavson has been creating art all of her life. Her recent paitings combine stylistic influences from Cubist painters and Japanese printmaking techniques. The imagery is inspired by the coastal landscape of California, traditional San Francisco Victorian architecture, and Jazz musicians. The result of coupling ecclectic stylistic elements with her varied subjects is a series of theatrical paintings that resonate with a vibrant energy.
