Melvin was a faithful customer of Mamá Art Cafe, having given us the pleasure of his company and art criticism on Saturday mornings for two years. After Melvin passed away in 2007, Mamá Art Cafe felt his absence. His daughter, Carolyn, became a regular customer while taking care of her mother who lives on the block. With her assistance, an exhibition was organized in his honor and memory. His illustrations and paintings give insight to the life of a sensitive artist and father.
