Trees: Paintings by Katherine Kodama
October 2008

From the Artist, Katherine Kodama:

"Inspired by Wangari Maathai, the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and founder of the Greenbelt Movement, I wanted to bring the conversation of deforestation closer to home by posing trees as if in a family photograph, or as seen in famous paintings, or in recognizable poses from the media."
