While mornings at Mamá are a flurry of activity with the early risers coming to get their coffee, Thursday evenings offer a tranquil refuge from the stresses of the work week. On Thursdays, neighbors and friends gather to enjoy local musical talents, including singer-songwriter Thomas Boles, Baily, Parting Glance, Kent Liew, Amy Obenski, and many more. Mamá’s cozy setting simulates the feeling that you are enjoying the live music in your own living room.

Mamá travels
to Buenos Aires on Sunday afternoons. Marcelo
Solis and Romina Hahn, world reknowned Argentine Tango dancers,
teach a tango class followed by a practice session. The class
is for all levels as Marcelo and Romina address each dancer’s
needs. Mamá’s airy space and wooden floor lend itself
well to a comfortable tango lesson where dancers can try out
their new steps.

Quarterly,
Mamá treats the community, friends, and tango enthusiasts
from all over the bay area to a Tango Dinner Show. A delectable
dinner is accompanied by an exquisite tango performance by Marcelo
Solis and Romina Hahn as well as other dancers. Every performance
is different but the quality maintains the same level of refinement
and passion.

Mamá is available for private parties and community meetings. In the last year we have hosted all of the neighborhood organizations for various events and have rented the space for private celebrations such as baby showers, Christening receptions, birthday parties, and more.
