Mamá Art Cafe is dedicated to the exhibition of local and international artists and New Eden Projects* presentations of music and poetry. Mamá Art Cafe offers specialty fair-trade organic coffee and spices from around the world. While our primary audience originates in San Francisco, Mamá Art Cafe aims to reach a larger global community through this online space.


A Note from the Founder: In 2004, Mamá Art Cafe was conceived after recognizing a personal need for my family members to have a space in which to work and socialize as well as a need in the local community for a cultural and creative outlet. The venue was established to complement the developing enterprise, creating a physical experience to connect with the company’s brand, "Mamá." It has become one of the most dynamic cultural spaces in San Francisco, attracting talented people to contribute their skills. 

Mamá Art Cafe is a culmination of over ten years of entrepreneurship in San Francisco’s Excelsior District and greater Bay Area. Mamá was named after my female ancestors, aunts, and my mother, Cruzita, who became pillars of their respective families.

We invite you to come enjoy a comfortable and inspiring venue in San Francisco and if you are visiting this site out of town or from abroad, please enjoy exploring the works of our exhibited artists and our quality products, including organic coffees and spices. Paulo Acosta Cabezas   

*With origins as a youth mentorship program, New Eden Projects currently consists of a group of volunteers who offer time, energy, and ideas to support cultural events that take place in the space at Mamá Art Cafe, especially events that encourage creativity and education in the local youth. New Eden Projects seeks to share the resources of volunteers and a space with other non-profit groups working with youth in the Bay Area.
